Cary and Tammy Felbab Wedding - November 25, 1989

The Early Days

I met Tammy Lee Scola, the girl who would forever change my life, on September 13, 1985 sometime between 10 and 11pm. Although many of the particulars of the night are cloudy, apparently we "met for the first time" three or four times that night on the Dance floor at the "BeefEaters Room" in the Memorial Union of the University of Wisconsin - Madison. In spite of that shaky start, we eventually became a couple and the rest is so they say history...

"Screw Your Roommate" Party early 1986 - This was the first quasi-formal event we attended together - also at the Memorial Union, in the "Great Hall."

Our first road trip together was to Chicago. This picture shows Tammy sitting on a park bench in Grant Park during May of 1986. Some months later, we'd watch Rob Lowe and Demi Moore frolick in this same park in the 80's classic movie About Last Night.

Below is probably my favorite picture of Tammy that I've ever taken (or at least of the sort that I can put on the Internet and stay married....). This picture is taken at Brittingham Park in Madison, Wisconsin; a location we'd come to many times to talk about the meaning of life, the universe, and our plans to build a future together.

The Wedding Day

On November 25, 1989 I pledged my ethernal love to Tammy Lee Scola in a beautiful ceremony in Horicon, Wisconsin. Shown in the picture below is the wedding party at the church.

Here we are getting ready to take to ride from the Church to the Pyramid Club where a celebration and reception was held to honor the moment.

Dinner comprised of a sit down steak meal for over 250 relatives, friends and associates. Here Tammy and I sit at the head table enjoying a few minutes in the limelight and also marveling at how fast the day was going by.

Of course no wedding dinner is complete without the clanging of the glasses and an excessive amount of kissing.

After dinner settled a bit, of course it was time to party. Music was provided by my high school friend John Banerian and his wedding band "CrossRoads."

As you can see, my wife was not the only good looking lady present at the wedding. Here are the bridesmaids showing a little leg.

The party really began to smoke for the song "You Really Got Me" when my brother Jeff took over the guitar and Tammy led everybody in some serious dancing.

After the Wedding

Happily the storybook romance continued after the wedding day. This picture was taken by a good friend on the final night of our honeymoon. We are standing in front of the ClearWater causeway enjoying a very wonderful Floridian night.

Our first Spring together found us in Minneapolis, Minnesota and as you can see still very much in love.

In July of 1991, we purchased our first house exactly according to the plan we had drawn up almost three years earlier when I first proposed to Tammy.

Of course, a new house calls for a housewarming party.

And no self respecting Madtowner would settle for a party without "Cardinal Puff". In this picture my brother and I prepare for the game to commence.
